Celebrant
Celebrancy is perfect for me as it brings together my interests, passions and skills. I have been a professional writer my entire career, starting with music mags On the Street and Drum Media, I had monthly columns in Dolly and Girlfriend, wrote book reviews for Harpers and then moved on to Public Relations with the Royal Botanic Gardens, and then the Australia Council for the Arts where I worked in Dance, Music, Literature and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Board. I’m fascinated by peoples stories and love creating unique, personalised ceremonies which reflect their personalities and relationships,
We are a bit of an international mix, my two beautiful sons Jonas and Ramir were born in the Philippines, my husband Tom is Scottish. Jonas is currently studying nursing in Canberra and Ramir is in Year 10. I am not looking forward to being an empty nester!!
Our last big holiday was in Japan. It was my second trip but the first for the boys. I love everything about Japan and am keen to go back as soon as possible. As a family we have also been to Sweden, England, Scotland, France, Germany, Vanuatu, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Denmark. While travelling with children/teenagers can be challenging it is such a great experience to share.
Meet Heidi, I am trying to stop her chewing cables while I type. There is nothing more adorable than a sausage dog.
I have an absolute passion for this little village. It has so much character. I have managed to take a photo of every house in Currarong as I wanted a record of the quirky cottages before we are all McMansions and Hamptons!
